NX OS
NX OS is a console-style macOS frontend built on nxnative. It discovers nxnative-built games, launches them full screen, tracks play time and can also start new Mac or iPhone builds.

Requirements
- The launcher requires Apple Silicon, macOS 15+ and Xcode, plus an nxnative checkout selected during setup. Games built by nxnative still follow the engine’s own platform requirement, currently macOS 26+.
- The Store/browser uses nxnative’s supported-game catalogue but never supplies game content. You must provide your own dump and keys.
Get started
- Download the release and move NX OS to Applications. If macOS blocks the unnotarized app, use the README’s right-click Open instructions.
- Complete setup, point NX OS at an nxnative checkout, and resolve any dependency checks.
- Add a game, choose Mac app or optional iPhone output, and queue the build.
- Open Library after the task finishes to launch the game full screen, or inspect logs and crash hints if it fails.
Usage & troubleshooting
- The interface supports controller and keyboard navigation, a build queue, task logs, statistics and setup screens.
- The Store is a discovery and catalogue interface; it always requires your own game files and does not distribute titles.
- NX OS changes how builds are organized and launched. Engine compatibility and performance still come from nxnative and the selected game profile.
